Cars for Stars Limited - Trade Mark registration

<body> <p>Cars for Stars is a UK based franchised operator of chauffeur cars and limousine hire. Since inception, Cars for Stars has continued to maintain high standards and expand its network Followings it success in the UK, the directors of Cars for Stars Limited, decided that they would look to extend the concept into continental Europe. Recognising the value is in the brand, they decided in early 2006 to apply for a Community Trade mark registration, which would protect their brand name 'Cars for Stars' within the proposed areas of expansion. Stephen Hughes, managing director of Cars for Stars Limited, says: "Although the 'Cars for Stars' name has been a registered trademark in the UK for over 3 years, we knew that to be successful in Europe, we would have to be able to leverage off the brand and therefore we would have to apply for a Community Trade Mark. Although this is a fairly long and drawn our process, we are delighted to have now received the Mark." He adds: "We will now start to open a dialogue with organisations that have already expressed an interest in taking on a Cars for Stars 'master franchise' agreement. We do not expect anything to happen quickly, given it is not our style to rush things, we prefer a measured and considered approach to lond term business relationships." Cars for Stars is now one of the largest companies of its kind in Europe and hopes to expand on this in the coming year. </p> </body>
